UK businesses are being warned to urgently address their cybersecurity measures as ransomware attacks have surged by 70% in 2024, according to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). This, combined with a staggering 7.78 million cases of cybercrime and 44% of businesses lacking in-house cybersecurity expertise, has resulted in a 16% increase in hostile cyber activities against UK organizations.
