Tonic App, the mobile-first platform dedicated to simplifying clinical practice for physicians, has been spotlighted by Google Play as part of its #WeArePlay campaign. Out of nearly two million existing apps worldwide, Tonic App is among the 126 European applications recognised by Google Play for their purpose-driven stories.
The #WeArePlay campaign aims to showcase the missions and stories of European applications available for download on the Google Play Store. Tonic App was one of five apps distinguished in the medical category, standing out as the only platform intended for healthcare professionals.
The campaign’s promotion took place through various channels of Google Play, and a gathering was organised in Amsterdam on June 21st during the Annual I/O Conference, where representatives from the 126 selected companies had the opportunity to interact and learn about the latest technological innovations presented by Google. Tonic App’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), João Oliveira, and Lead Software Engineer, Éder Franco, represented the platform at the event.
With a strong focus on helping doctors increase productivity, Tonic App continues to provide an expanding array of contents and tools. Recently, the platform integrated an AI-powered virtual assistant to support physicians in tasks such as knowledge retrieval, summarising clinical records and scientific articles, preparing patient information, writing referral letters, and issuing medical certificates.
Daniela Seixas, founder and executive director of Tonic App, expressed the significance of this recognition for the team, stating, “The mobile market is so competitive that this recognition is very special to our team. We’ve been working hard over the past 7 years to make a product that can truly facilitate the day-to-day of physicians. Also, this recognition increases both the credibility and the visibility of Tonic App, which is great.”
Tonic App has become an essential tool for healthcare professionals across Europe, earning it the title of the fastest growing medical platform on the continent. Its comprehensive approach, bringing together knowledge, tools, educational content, video consultations, job opportunities, and other valuable resources, has made it a trusted ally for physicians in their daily lives.
Matthew Durham, Director, Global Media, CMI Media Group, also praised Tonic App, acknowledging its significance as a partner for CMI Media Group in European HCP media campaigns for clients.
