The age-old adage “blood is thicker than water” might ring true, but when the fervor for football teams takes the stage, relationships often face strain, as indicated by the findings of a recent survey.

This study delved into the complexities that arise in relationships when partners and family members ardently support opposing football teams. Astonishingly, nearly one-third (30.25%) of female football enthusiasts admitted to withholding intimacy from their partners for an entire week as a result of their partner’s excessive gloating over their team’s loss.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that a significant portion (46.89%) of participants resorted to blocking or muting family members who engaged in trolling behavior following their team’s defeat.

The investigation, conducted by BonusBetKentucky.com, canvassed the opinions of 2,000 football aficionados across the United States to illuminate the depths of fan loyalty in the age of pervasive social media.

The results proved startling, as nearly half (46.89%) of respondents confessed to blocking or muting a family member who had crossed the line with excessive trolling subsequent to their football team’s pivotal loss. Although temporary in most cases, 4.4% indicated that they continued to uphold the block, harboring no intentions of rescinding it.

More perturbingly, in romantic relationships where partners championed rival teams, nearly one-third of female participants (30.25%) divulged that they had intentionally withheld intimacy for a minimum of a week, the consequence of a fallout stemming from their respective teams’ defeat.

A particularly loyal cohort emerged in the female residents of Kentucky, where a remarkable 42.23% admitted to refraining from intimate relations with their partners for at least a week in response to a football-induced dispute.

Jimmy Foster, representative from Bonus Bet Kentucky, offered insight into the findings, stating, “These results unequivocally underscore the gravity with which sports enthusiasts view the outcomes of game days.”

The survey’s revelations offer a glimpse into the intricate tapestry of emotions and loyalties that interweave within the realm of football fandom, demonstrating the potent impact it can wield upon relationships and connections.
