Retired business owner Loren Keeling was filled with hopes of living a happy, sunny retirement with a good partner when she moved to Spain in 2016. However, her dream was slowly shattered and by 2020 she was left with little financial security and no way out of a bad situation.
Keeling has since taken action to bring attention to the issue of hidden emotional abuse in relationships and post-separation. She is the author of Post Separation Abuse, Betrayal & Abandonment, What Type of Man?, which is now available on Amazon.
“Women are silenced in both private and public, with no prospect of change. If women do not tell their stories, how can a country’s justice system be improved?” said Keeling.
Keeling’s book follows her journey of “Divorce, Death and Discard” that was supposed to end in “Delight”. Her story tells of how even post-separation the abuse continued, with false promises and threats filling her thoughts.
Keeling hopes to continue the conversation of how emotional and physical abuse affects every part of a victim’s life and how to move forward after trauma. She is already working on the sequel to her book, Deception and Illusions, Embroidered With Truth.
Keeling is also launching a podcast on August 21 titled Mindset, Money, Success.
“It’s time to be part of the change we want to see in the world. Loren’s story like many others can only change the future of how abuse is handled if the story is heard,” said Keeling.
Post Separation Abuse, Betrayal & Abandonment, What Type of Man? is available on Amazon in English and will be available in Spanish from August 21.
