Hyperoptic, a leading broadband provider, has announced a four-year partnership with The Prince’s Trust and SOS Children’s Villages in Serbia, with the aim of helping young people in the UK and Serbia.

Founder and CEO Dana Tobak and her leadership team are committed to volunteering, fundraising and mentoring in support of the causes. Hyperoptic have also implemented a Volunteer Day policy, giving their employees the opportunity to take a day off work to volunteer.

The flagship fundraising event this year will be the Prince’s Trust Palace to Palace 2023, which Hyperoptic is delighted to be supporting.

The charity, founded by King Charles III, Prince of Wales, in 1976, has helped more than a million young people aged 11-30 who are facing challenges with education, opportunity and employment.

SOS Children’s Villages, founded in Austria, has worked in Serbia since 2004 and is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to providing care and support to young people without parental care.

Commenting on the partnerships, Dana Tobak said: “We are 100% aligned with the work of the Prince’s Trust and SOS Children’s Villages, and excited to support their important work in empowering and protecting young people. At Hyperoptic, part of our work is to connect homes, people and communities that need help getting across the digital divide – now we’re adding a commitment to help the youngest and sometimes most vulnerable people through volunteering.”

Jonathan Townsend, UK Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust, added: “Now is such an important time to bring on a patron like Hyperoptic, who are passionate about helping young people and have volunteers with highly valued digital, business and commercial skills that will bring real value to our young people.”

Vesna Mrakovic, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Serbia, commented: “We are grateful to Hyperoptic for providing support to children, young people, and families in crisis. Thanks to Hyperoptic’s big heart, our organization will be able to reach a greater number of families who are at risk of separating children, as well as young people from vulnerable groups who are on the way to economic independence.”

Hyperoptic, with more than 275,000 customers and over one million homes passed, was recently named Best Broadband Provider in the Uswitch 2023 Telecoms Awards.
